Troop 24 - The High Adventure Troop

Personal Equipment List For
Overnight Backpacking Trips

by Cascade Bill Mooseker

The Scout Motto - "Be Prepared" certainly applies for an overnight or longer backpacking trip. There will be a pack check prior to departure for longer trips and no one will be allowed to go with inadequate or incomplete equipment. Every year several people die from exposure or preventable accidents in the Cascades. We are usually many miles from the cars and will have to rely on ourselves and what we bring along. This list has been prepared from long experience with that in mind.
